Mercedes Moné didn’t just return to AEW on Dynamite, she picked up a big win in the process.
Moné was revealed as the wild card entry in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament during the June 3, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite. She stepped into the quarterfinal match against Alex Windsor, marking her first AEW match of the year.
The match started with both women locking up before Windsor scored early with an arm drag. Moné quickly answered back by locking in the Statement Maker and then hitting a backstabber. Windsor kicked out of the pin attempt, but Moné kept control with a meteora.
Windsor tried to turn things around by setting up for a Sharpshooter, but Moné avoided it and hit another meteora off the ring apron. The two continued trading offense, with Windsor fighting back from the second rope and trying to create an opening.
Moné stayed one step ahead late in the match. After Windsor avoided double knees in the corner and tried to follow up, Moné caught her with a knee to the face. She then hit another backstabber before locking in the Statement Maker again.
This time, Windsor had nowhere to go and tapped out. With the submission win, Mercedes Moné defeated Alex Windsor and advanced in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament.
The victory makes Moné’s AEW return even bigger, as she didn’t just show up as the mystery wild card. She immediately made a statement by forcing Windsor to tap out and moving one step closer to winning the tournament.
