Mercedes Moné is officially back in AEW.
After months away from AEW television, Moné made her return during the June 3, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite as the mystery wild card entry in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
The match was set up as Alex Windsor taking on a mystery opponent, but the big reveal came when Moné was confirmed as the wild card. That marked her first AEW appearance of 2026 after being absent from company programming since losing the TBS Championship at New Year’s Smash.
Moné’s absence had led to plenty of questions about her AEW future, especially since she had not wrestled for the company at all this year. A recent Fightful Select update stated that she remained under contract with AEW and was still expected to return, with sources indicating that her comeback could have major implications near the top of the card.
