Maxxine Dupri’s on-screen kiss with Austin Theory got fans talking on RAW, but the one person who doesn’t seem bothered by it is her husband.
After Maxxine helped Austin Theory and Bron Breakker regain the WWE Tag Team Championships by low-blowing Angelo Dawkins before celebrating with a kiss, plenty of fans flooded social media with reactions. Some even dragged her real-life husband, Kam Hendrix, into the conversation.
Kam saw it and had a little fun with it on Twitter. Instead of getting defensive or addressing the criticism head-on, Kam laughed it off and made it clear he wasn’t losing any sleep over his wife’s on-screen storyline.
“Damn didn’t realize how many ppl were jealous of Kam Hendrix! Feels kinda good actually 😊😂”
The kiss came at the end of a chaotic Tag Team Championship match on the July 6 episode of RAW. With the referee distracted by Logan Paul’s brass knuckles, Maxxine appeared out of nowhere, dropped Angelo Dawkins with a low blow, and handed The Vision the opening they needed. Moments later, Austin Theory and Bron Breakker were champions again, and Maxxine sealed the moment by jumping into Theory’s arms and kissing him as pyro filled the arena.
Kam Hendrix clearly saw people making noise about it, but his response made it obvious he is not treating WWE television like real-life drama. Maxxine got heat, The Vision got the titles, and Hendrix got a good laugh out of everyone suddenly acting concerned.
