Maxxine Dupri isn’t done chasing gold in WWE, and she already has her eyes on another run with the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

While speaking to Denise Salcedo in Turin, Italy, Maxxine reflected on how much her career has changed over the past year. She went from trying to prove herself in the ring to winning her first championship at Madison Square Garden and sharing the ring with Becky Lynch in multiple matches.

That entire experience clearly changed the way Maxxine sees herself in WWE. After saying her title win at MSG was the greatest day of her life, Maxxine was asked what she wants to accomplish next. She made it clear that she wants to be more than someone who gets a big moment here and there. She wants to be a regular fighter in the women’s division, chase championships again, and become a two-time Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

“I am so eager to be a consistent fighter in the women’s division. I want to be going after those titles. I want to be a two-time women’s Intercontinental Champion. If Liv needs someone, I’m ready to step in the ring. I want to be consistently in that ring continuing to grow, continuing to push myself, and continuing to put myself in the deep end where I know I’m going to face challenges, but I think the only way for me to continue to grow and evolve is by literally jumping into the deep end.”

Maxxine’s confidence comes after a run that pushed her into a much bigger spotlight. She admitted earlier in the interview that she never expected to be put into a program with Becky Lynch, but she kept showing up every week and made the most of each opportunity.

Her matches with Becky also helped win over the audience in a major way. Maxxine said she was nervous because she had never worked matches that long before, especially against someone with Becky’s résumé. Still, she wanted to do her part, represent the women’s locker room well, and prove she belonged.

Now, Maxxine sounds ready for whatever WWE throws at her next. Whether that means another shot at the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, a match with Liv Morgan, or another major test on Raw, she made it clear she wants to keep jumping into the deep end.
