Max Abrams just got his big moment. Abrams won the WWE ID Men’s Championship on Friday at The Nightmare Factory presents The ID Showcase in Atlanta. He beat Chazz “Starboy” Hall to win the title for the first time.
WWE ID announced the title change after the match and said the full match will be released on its X account soon. Abrams didn’t celebrate alone. CJ Valor, Jacari Ball, and Santi Rivera were there with him after the win, giving The Mog Squad a big night in Atlanta. All four have also appeared on WWE Evolve, so this win gives the group even more bragging rights.
The loss ends Hall’s title run after 96 days. Hall, formerly known as Starboy Charlie, won the championship back in March when he defeated Cappuccino Jones at a Beyond Wrestling event. The Nightmare Factory also made the moment stand out more, since the training school is run by Cody Rhodes. That gave Abrams’ title win a pretty notable stage.
Now Abrams has the gold, The Mog Squad has the spotlight, and WWE ID has a new men’s champion. Chazz Hall had a solid run, but Friday night belonged to Max Abrams.
