Former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle is speaking out after Misha Montana revealed she recently suffered a miscarriage.

Montana shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram last month, explaining that she had lost a child while also dealing with her mother’s Alzheimer’s battle. Now, Riddle has addressed the situation during an interview with TV Insider and explained how he is trying to support Montana while balancing his wrestling schedule and family life. Riddle said he is doing whatever he can to make things easier at home.

“I try to make her happy as much as possible. With my schedule, it’s harder because I’m always gone. When I’m home, I try to take care of the baby. I change some diapers because we have a two-year-old as well. I cook and clean. I stay in shape.”

Riddle then explained that miscarriage is not just a physical ordeal, but also something deeply difficult emotionally and mentally. He said they were a couple of months into the pregnancy and had only recently told their family because things seemed to be going well. That changed after Montana went in for a screening.

“It doesn’t matter who you are. I’ve talked to other women’s wrestlers. Having a miscarriage, and people don’t go into the details of it, but it’s really rough. I’m not going to get into the details with you, but it’s not just physically. It’s psychologically, emotionally.

It sucked because we were a couple of months in. We hesitated to tell anybody because you don’t want to rush it. Everything was good, so we told the parents and everybody. Everybody was stoked. Then three days later she went in for a screening. After the screening, things went awry.”

Riddle said the emergency room visit made the situation even more devastating. He also praised Montana, saying she has supported him through difficult moments and that people should not judge her based on appearance or profession.

“She went to the emergency room, but they can do so much. They said they didn’t see a baby where there should have been a baby. It’s very upsetting. She is going through it. I love her. I’ll always have her back. Misha is one of the most compassionate human beings I’ve ever met. I know with her profession and all the tattoos make some think otherwise, but honestly she is the sweetest person and the most understanding person I’ve ever met.”

Riddle said he is trying to help her through the loss while also dealing with other family issues, including tension involving his ex-wife. And when asked how long ago it happened, Riddle said Montana was around three months pregnant and that the recovery process has lasted much longer than he initially expected.

“All I can do is try to make things as smooth as possible, love her as much as possible. I love her so much. There is no question about it. This is just a bump in the road. I’ve told her we can always try again. We’re good. She was about three months in. We didn’t tell anyone, but in three months we did. She went to the doctor and everything was good. It was about a month ago that all this happened. I thought it would be a weak process, and it’s not. It lasts a month or two. Then while the physical part is done, it’s the mental.”

The King of Bros also said he understands that the grief does not simply disappear, adding that Montana is still overwhelmed while caring for their child and handling everything else in their lives.

“Misha is just sad and overwhelmed with the baby at home and all the other things. But like I said she is an amazing human being. I love her, and she loves me. We have a beautiful two-and-a-half-year old. Maybe he’ll still get a brother or sister in the near future.”

Matt Riddle’s comments show just how painful the situation has been for both him and Misha Montana. While he continues taking bookings and staying active in wrestling, Riddle made it clear that his priority is supporting Montana and keeping their family together through a very difficult time.
