Matt Hardy says the NSFW repost that appeared on his Twitter account wasn’t him — it was a hacker. Hardy is now trying to shut down any idea that he intentionally shared the explicit post, and he pointed to two other strange incidents from the past to back up his story.
The post came from the account “OnlyUsAfterDark” and featured an image appearing to show two people having sex. It was reposted from Hardy’s verified account before he later addressed what happened. Hardy claimed he has been dealing with hackers for a long time.
“MATT FACT – Matt is fighting a never-ending battle against hackers. Thank goodness I now have contacts.”
He then shared two previous examples of posts he says came from compromised access to his account.
“@lildurk why u ain’t slide for von 🤣”
“@rebyhardy im tryna fuck”
Hardy is clearly using those old posts to show that weird activity on his account isn’t exactly new. That still doesn’t prove somebody else was behind the latest NSFW repost. There’s no public evidence showing who actually hit the repost button this time. Hardy says it was a hacker, and that’s the explanation he’s sticking with.
Maybe Matt Hardy really does have a never-ending hacker problem. Maybe this was just one hell of an awkward repost to explain. Either way, he wants it known that the NSFW content was not something he intentionally shared.
