The June 12 episode of Friday Night SmackDown just got another match added to the lineup.
WWE confirmed that Women’s Tag Team Champions Paige and Brie Bella will be in action against Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid. The match will be non-title, meaning the championships will not be on the line.
“WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Paige and Brie Bella step into the ring with the dangerous Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid of Fatal Influence in an exciting non-title match, tonight on SmackDown at 8 ET/7 CT on USA.”
This comes after the June 5 episode of SmackDown, where Fatal Influence targeted Paige and Brie Bella. Now, Reid and Henley will get a chance to test themselves against the champions on television, even if the titles are not up for grabs.
The match joins an already loaded SmackDown lineup, with Gunther set to reveal his condition for a Cody Rhodes rematch. WWE will also continue the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, with Jey Uso, LA Knight, Royce Keys, and Finn Balor in a Fatal Four-Way, while Sol Ruca, Lyra Valkyria, Charlotte Flair, and Jade Cargill battle for the final Queen of the Ring semifinal spot.
SmackDown airs tonight from the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island, at 8 PM ET on USA Network, with international fans able to watch on Netflix.
This late addition gives the women’s tag division a bigger spotlight heading into Night of Champions season. Fatal Influence already made their intentions clear, and now Paige and Brie Bella have a chance to fire back in the ring.
