Marty Jannetty is finally speaking for himself after his family confirmed his devastating medical situation.
The former WWE star recently underwent a below-the-knee amputation after years of health problems tied to ankle damage and sepsis. His wife, Addie, already confirmed the surgery was real after disturbing photos started spreading online, but now Jannetty has made his first public comments.
Writing on Facebook, Jannetty thanked Brian Blair and the Cauliflower Alley Club for helping him through one of the hardest periods of his life. Jannetty made it clear the support was not just appreciated. It sounds like it may have been what got him through it.
“As many of you all know, Ive recntly had to undergo an amputation. The very first thing I must do is thank Brian Blair and his GREAT staff at the Cauliflower Alley Club or CAC. Theyve showed me quite a lot of love and compassion for my situation. Without their help I dont think I would’ve gotten through this very tough time in my life. Insurance only covers so much so I definitely needed their help.”
And of course if ever a time comes when I can do something for them I’M THERE!!! Thanx again CAC.”
That update comes after Addie confirmed Jannetty had a below-the-knee amputation on April 1, 2026. She said the family originally wanted to keep his health private, but online speculation forced them to address it.
“Over the past year, we have chosen to keep Marty’s health matters private, and we stand firmly by that decision. Marty recently underwent a below-the-knee amputation.”
Jannetty’s wife has also started pushing for WWE to recognize his career with a Hall of Fame induction, either on his own or as part of The Rockers with Shawn Michaels.
Bottom line, Jannetty’s message is simple. He is grateful, he is recovering, and he knows exactly who helped him when things got rough.
