Mara Sade is back on the market, and she may not stay there for long. The former WWE and TNA star is now a free agent after her deal with TNA Wrestling expired.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reports that sources close to Sade confirmed her contract has ended. She is believed to be negotiating a new deal while also speaking with multiple companies.
Sade spent years in WWE under the name Jakara Jackson as part of the NXT roster. She also reached the main roster and challenged for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on SmackDown. After leaving WWE, she joined TNA and continued working under the Mara Sade name.
Her TNA run may not be completely finished yet. Sade competed at the company’s recent Albany tapings, where she defeated Tasha Steelz in the opening round of the TNA Television Championship tournament. It is not known whether she is at this week’s TNA tapings in Philadelphia.
Sade now has options. TNA could bring her back under a new deal, but the fact that other companies have already contacted her means the former NXT star may be preparing for another move. Her contract is done, negotiations are underway and several promotions are circling. The next decision belongs to Mara Sade.
