The Main Event Mafia didn’t need entrance music. They didn’t need a ring. They just needed to be in the same room again. One of the most iconic factions in TNA history reunited during WrestleCon this weekend, giving wrestling fans a nostalgic moment they never expected to see as Kurt Angle, Sting, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner and Booker T all came together once again.
The reunion was captured in fan-shot footage on Instagram that’s now making the rounds online, showing the five legends catching up, embracing and looking like no time had passed since they dominated TNA together.
The video begins with Kevin Nash greeting Sting before the two share a warm embrace. Sting then makes his way over to Sharmell, giving her a hug before Booker T steps in for a reunion of his own with “The Icon.”
Moments later, Kurt Angle arrives to complete the group, and before long Scott Steiner joins the celebration as well. Nash and Steiner embrace, Booker T shares a hug with Steiner, and the smiles keep coming as the former stable members continue catching up.
The reunion ends exactly how longtime TNA fans would’ve hoped. All five members gather together for a group photo, recreating a moment many never thought they’d see again.
The Main Event Mafia may not have lasted long during its original run, but the faction left a lasting mark on TNA Wrestling. Featuring some of the biggest names in the industry, the group ruled the company during the late 2000s and remains one of the most memorable stables in TNA history.
Seeing all five members together again was enough to take fans straight back to one of the promotion’s most memorable eras.
