The Lucha Bros are finally back together, and WWE made it happen after SmackDown went off the air.

Penta and Rey Fenix reunited during a dark segment after Judgment Day members Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh attacked Penta. Fenix hit the ring to make the save, and the chaos quickly turned into a tag team match.

The Lucha Bros then defeated Dominik and McDonagh, giving the live crowd a reunion WWE had yet to put on television. This marked the first time Penta and Fenix teamed together inside a WWE ring. It was also their first match as a team since the July 2024 episode of AEW Rampage.

Both brothers are already carrying championship gold heading into SummerSlam weekend. Penta is the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion and is set to defend the title against Chad Gable at SummerSlam. Fenix currently holds the AAA Cruiserweight Championship and successfully defended it against McDonagh on SmackDown before the post-show angle took place.

WWE has kept Penta and Fenix on separate paths since bringing them into the company, but the dark match showed exactly what could happen if the Lucha Bros become a regular team again.

The reunion may not have aired on television, but WWE has now put Penta and Fenix back together in front of a live crowd. Whether this was a one-night moment or the start of something bigger remains to be seen.

Do you want WWE to bring the Lucha Bros back full-time, or should Penta and Rey Fenix stay focused on their singles championship runs? Leave your feedback in the comments.
