The 2026 Queen of the Ring tournament has delivered several big matches as WWE looks to crown a new winner. Some of the biggest names in the women’s division entered the field, all chasing a trip to the finals at Night of Champions.
Jade Cargill has already secured her spot in the championship match after a dominant run through the bracket. She now sits one win away from adding Queen of the Ring to her growing list of accomplishments.
Tonight on SmackDown, Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan meet in the semifinals. Flair is looking to add another major achievement to her resume, while Morgan has a chance to score one of the biggest tournament wins of her career.
Charlotte Flair’s quest to regain a top spot in the women’s division has been a long journey so far. At the same time, Liv Morgan, who is currently champion, also found herself in the semifinals of the Queen of the Ring tournament.
The winner of this match advanced to Night of Champions on June 27 in Riyadh, where Jade Cargill will be waiting in the Queen of the Ring Final. The tournament winner will earn the crown and a future women’s championship opportunity.
Liv Morgan upset a lot of fans when she advanced from the first round, but she is no stranger to getting heat. Before Morgan’s match with Charlotte Flair could even start, Jade Cargill and her stable beat her down backstage. This gave Flair a hill to fight up in a big way as the match finally started to cap off this week’s show.
Charlotte Flair made her way to the ring for this match, but she was limping. Liv Morgan also attecked her before the bell, which sent medical staff down to check on The Queen. Nick Aldis pleaded with Flair to stop the match, “you’re hurt, you’re hurt!” he said, as she said, “do you know how much this means to me?” Then the match started with Morgan relentlessly beating her around the ringside area.
The show cut to commercial break, and by the time we got back, Morgan’s assault on Flair was reaching a brutal point. Morgan wrapped Flair’s leg around the ring post and hammered down on her. Flair was eventually able to turn the match around and regain control, which even included a near fall, but Morgan fought on.
Liv Morgan continued as she zeroed in on Charlotte Flair’s injured wheel. Flair was able to come back with a few big moves along the way, including a Natural Selection from the top rope, but she only got a near fall.
In the end, Charlotte Flair was taken out of the match. WWE officials flooded the ringside area, and then Liv Morgan pulled Flair into the ring. Suddenly, Liv Morgan nailed her finisher and pulled off the big win.
