Liv Morgan hasn’t forgotten Rhea Ripley. In fact, she made sure everyone remembered one of Ripley’s most painful moments just hours before defending the Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam.
Ahead of her title match with IYO SKY, Morgan took to Instagram and uploaded a series of photos showing herself wearing a T-shirt featuring Rhea Ripley in tears after SummerSlam 2024—the night Dominik Mysterio turned on Ripley and aligned himself with Liv, helping Morgan retain the Women’s World Championship in one of WWE’s most shocking betrayals. As if the shirt wasn’t enough, Morgan twisted the knife with a caption that left little to the imagination.

The timing feels anything but accidental. While Morgan is preparing to put her championship on the line against IYO SKY, Ripley is watching from the sidelines after being sidelined with an injury. That hasn’t stopped Liv from taking shots at her longtime rival, though. Instead, she chose SummerSlam morning to remind everyone of the night Ripley’s world came crashing down.
Now all eyes turn to SummerSlam. Morgan still has to get past IYO SKY if she wants to leave with the Women’s World Championship, but before she even stepped into the arena, she found a way to fire one more shot at the woman who isn’t even cleared to compete.
