Liv Morgan’s beach day took a hard left into internet chaos after a video of the WWE star running around St. Pete Beach with boyfriend Landon Hardwick started trending on Twitter on July 26, 2026.
The clip itself was harmless enough. Morgan and Hardwick were enjoying a playful day in Florida, with Hardwick chasing her across the sand while the moment was recorded for social media. Then a fan account turned the video into a political attack. The account accused Hardwick of being a “MAGA boyfriend” and took a shot at alleged ties between his family and conversion therapy through his mother’s youth ministry.
“New video of Liv Morgan running around St. Pete’s beach with her MAGA boyfriend, Landon Hardwick.”
“And how adorable that Landon is chasing Liv so that he can practice catching the gays who try to run away from conversion therapy! #CoupleGoals.”
The post quickly spread across Twitter, pulling Morgan’s relationship into a debate that had nothing to do with wrestling. Some users piled on and treated the post like a joke. Others told the account to back off, arguing Morgan should not be blamed for claims about her boyfriend’s politics or his family’s religious connections.
The criticism centered on Hardwick’s mother being connected to Together We Thrive, a youth ministry linked to Watermark Community Church. The church has publicly rejected the claim that it practices conversion therapy, but that did not stop the accusations from taking over the conversation surrounding the beach video.
Hardwick’s previous social media activity also came under the microscope, with users pointing to past likes connected to Donald Trump. Those likes have since been removed, but screenshots and claims about them continued circulating as the video gained attention.
Morgan has not addressed the backlash. Her most recent Instagram activity with Hardwick came on July 4, weeks before the beach footage became the center of an online fight.
Morgan is currently carrying WWE’s Women’s World Championship, but her playful day away from the ring turned into another reminder that wrestling fans will dig into every part of a star’s personal life once a clip starts spreading.
