Layla had a solid run in WWE, but she is not acting like a solo Hall of Fame induction is waiting around the corner for her.

The former WWE Women’s Champion and Divas Champion recently appeared on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, where she looked back on her WWE career and talked about whether she sees herself ever getting the Hall of Fame call.

Layla left WWE in 2015 and retired from pro wrestling after a run that started with her winning the 2006 WWE Diva Search. From there, she became one of the standout names of the Divas era and later teamed with Michelle McCool as LayCool, one of the most memorable women’s acts from that period. When asked if she thinks she will ever be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on her own, Layla kept it simple.

“I don’t think so.”

That answer came after Michelle McCool was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025. Chris Van Vliet then brought up the possibility of LayCool going in together someday, and Layla admitted that may be the only realistic path.

“That would probably be the only way.”

Layla has recently paid attention to today’s WWE women’s division as well, even naming Chelsea Green as someone who carries the spirit of the era Layla came from. Still, when it comes to her own WWE legacy, she seems to believe a LayCool induction makes more sense than a solo spotlight.

Layla may not be pushing hard for a Hall of Fame spot, but her run still left a mark. Between the Diva Search win, championship reigns, and her LayCool work with Michelle McCool, she carved out a place in WWE history that fans from that era still remember.
