WWE Crown Jewel 2026 is set to take over Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and there are some interesting details surrounding today’s Premium Live Event. From changes to the pre-show format to how WWE is handling production and commentary, the company is doing a few things differently this time around.

One of the biggest things to know is that WWE has dropped the traditional Kickoff Show for Crown Jewel. However, the Countdown Show is still happening and will begin at 10 AM ET, two hours before the main show gets underway at 12 PM ET. There will also be a post-show once the event wraps up.

Another detail involves WWE’s commentary team, which won’t be sitting ringside at the ANB Arena in Riyadh. Instead, the announcers will call the action live from WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.

WWE is also keeping a significant amount of its production operation in the United States. The company has sent fewer staff members to Saudi Arabia than usual, with production and satellite trucks stationed at WWE headquarters.

The crew working in Riyadh will handle cameras, sound equipment, and other essential elements at the arena. Those feeds will then be transmitted back to Stamford, where employees will take care of graphics, editing, audio mixing, and other broadcast responsibilities.

As for the actual card, WWE has four matches lined up for Crown Jewel. Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn will collide in a Champion vs. Champion match, while Chelsea Green and Liv Morgan will face each other in another battle between champions.

Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton will also take their rivalry to another level in a Last Man Standing match. Meanwhile, Bron Breakker and Austin Theory will defend the World Tag Team Championships against Penta and Je’Von Evans.
