WWE has made one final addition to tonight’s Saturday Night’s Main Event lineup.
Just hours before the show begins from Madison Square Garden, WWE took to Twitter and announced that Trick Williams will face Laredo Kid on the Countdown to Saturday Night’s Main Event pre-show. The match is non-title, with Trick’s United States Championship not on the line.
The announcement gives fans another reason to tune in before the main card gets underway, as Trick looks to build momentum against one of AAA’s most recognizable stars.
The newly announced bout joins an already loaded night of action. Saturday Night’s Main Event will feature CM Punk and Cody Rhodes taking on Gunther and Sami Zayn in the main event, with Gunther and Zayn able to turn the Undisputed WWE Championship match at SummerSlam into a Fatal 4-Way if they pick up the victory.
Elsewhere on the card, Paige and Brie Bella defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley, Bayley faces Lyra Valkyria following Valkyria’s shocking heel turn, and JD McDonagh collides with Danhausen in a No Disqualification Match. Roman Reigns is also scheduled to appear alongside NBA champion Jalen Brunson.
