WWE has added a big tag team match to tonight’s SmackDown, giving fans another preview of what’s coming at WrestleMania 42.

The company confirmed that Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair will team up to face Bayley and Lyra Valkyria on the April 17 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. With WrestleMania just days away, this match gives two of the teams involved in the Women’s Tag Team Title situation one more chance to build momentum before the big show.

All four women are set to collide again at WrestleMania 42 as part of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship four-way match. The reigning champions, The Irresistible Forces — Lash Legend and Nia Jax — will defend their titles against Bliss and Flair, Bayley and Valkyria, and The Bella Twins, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella.

Cody Rhodes is scheduled to respond to Randy Orton after being taken out last week, giving him one last chance to fire back before their WrestleMania showdown. Jacob Fatu is also expected to appear after Drew McIntyre’s brutal attack, with their unsanctioned match looming at WrestleMania 42.

The Women’s United States Championship will also be on the line as Giulia defends her title against Tiffany Stratton, while the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal returns to SmackDown once again. A Street Fight between Wyatt Sicks and The MFTs is also scheduled to bring some chaos to the show.

Here is the updated lineup for WWE SmackDown on April 17, 2026:

  • Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair vs Bayley & Lyra Valkyria
  • Cody Rhodes Responds to Randy Orton
  • Jacob Fatu Breaks Silence After Drew McIntyre Attack
