AEW made a late change to tonight’s Dynamite card, adding another match just before the show goes live.
The April 15 Spring Breakthru edition of AEW Dynamite was already set to feature several major title matches following the fallout from Dynasty. However, AEW President Tony Khan went live on Twitter shortly before the show and revealed that another bout had been added to the lineup.
During the live video, Khan announced that Tommaso Ciampa will face Dezmond Xavier on tonight’s episode of Dynamite, giving fans an unexpected addition to an already loaded card.
The late addition adds even more action to a show that already includes AEW World Champion MJF defending his title against Darby Allin, TNT Champion Kevin Knight putting his championship on the line against Claudio Castagnoli, and TBS Champion Willow Nightingale defending against Kamille. Renee Paquette is also scheduled to interview Chris Jericho following his loss to Ricochet at AEW Dynasty.
AEW Dynamite airs tonight at 8 PM Eastern on TBS and streams on MAX. The event takes place at Angel of the Wind Arena in Everett, Washington, and with Ciampa vs. Xavier now official, the show has gained another match just hours before broadcast.
As a reminder, Ringside News will be providing live play-by-play coverage of tonight’s show over in our AEW Dynamite coverage hub. Also keep checking back with Ringside News for more updates, because there could be several before the big show.
