Lars Sullivan is once again going after Big E and The New Day, this time claiming Big E’s career-ending neck injury was “karma.”
Sullivan previously got backlash after responding to Big E’s past support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Big E had spoken out in 2020 about systemic injustice, saying Black lives were repeatedly devalued by the justice system. Sullivan later attacked Big E in a deleted post, accusing him of virtue signaling and calling BLM corrupt, racist, and anti-white.
Now, Sullivan took things even further. He took to Twitter and accused The New Day of only kneeling for “criminal” figures, brought up George Floyd and Austin Metcalf, and then directly called Big E anti-white before making a disturbing remark about Big E’s serious neck injury, claming it was karma.
“Why does the New Day only kneel for criminal pieces of s*** like George floyd? Not a peep about Austin Metcalf? Interesting how that works. Glad everyone sees the scam that was blm. Sucks what they did though. Big e is an anti white racist. His neck break was karma :)”
The comment immediately adds to Sullivan’s long history of controversy. During his time in WWE, he was previously fined $100,000 for offensive comments from message boards, including racist, sexist, and homophobic remarks.
Big E has not responded to Sullivan’s latest post as of now. Still, the remark about his broken neck is likely to anger fans, especially given how serious that injury was and how beloved Big E remains in wrestling.
Sullivan has largely stayed out of the limelight since leaving WWE in 2021, but his latest comments have pushed him right back into controversy. This time, the backlash may be even stronger because he turned a career-threatening injury into a personal attack.
