Paul Heyman has been missing from WWE television for a few weeks, and naturally, that’s raised questions about what the hell is going on with The Oracle. Now there’s finally some word on what WWE could have cooking for him behind the scenes.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, there is currently a working creative idea that could see Heyman return to WWE television relatively soon. The interesting part is that WWE may be looking to expand what he’s doing instead of simply throwing him right back into the exact same spot.
The idea involves Heyman branching out into another program outside of The Vision. That doesn’t mean he’s completely ditching the group, though, because WWE still apparently wants him connected to the storyline.
“According to those with knowledge of the situation, there is a working creative idea that would see Paul Heyman return to television relatively soon. The potential idea would involve Heyman in something outside of The Vision, although not completely dissociating from that storyline.”
More specifically, Bron Breakker is expected to remain Heyman’s main connection to The Vision. That tracks with previous reporting that WWE sees Heyman as an important part of Breakker’s presentation regardless of what ultimately happens with the faction.
“As it stands, the creative direction would allow Heyman to branch out into another program while still maintaining some connection to The Vision, specifically Bron Breakker.”
Heyman was still involved with The Vision earlier this month, including the October 5 episode of RAW, where he pushed Bronson Reed to take care of Oba Femi. His most recent WWE television appearance came on October 12, and he hasn’t been seen on programming since.
There’s no word yet on what this other program could actually be or who Heyman would be working with. For now, WWE apparently has an idea on the table to bring him back soon without completely pulling him away from Breakker and everything going on with The Vision.
So Heyman’s absence doesn’t necessarily mean WWE has run out of things for him to do. If this creative direction sticks, The Oracle could soon have another plate spinning while still keeping his connection to Breakker alive.
