LA Knight Backstage Heat Rumor With Triple H Debunked

LA Knight’s booking has been a hot topic — but the idea that Triple H doesn’t see him as a top guy has now been shut down.

After speculation about why LA Knight hasn’t broken through to the world title level despite massive crowd reactions and frustration from Knight himself, a new Q&A session with WrestleVotes addressed the biggest rumor directly: that Triple H has heat with Knight and doesn’t like him, something that Vince Russo claimed back in 2025.

“Chris, I was, you know, not—not by an outsider—I'm just going to put it to you this way. I was told that Triple H does not like LA Knight. And you're seeing that, bro. LA Knight goes so far, then we pull him back. LA Knight goes so far, then we pull him back. And again, bro, that's the competition between the boys.”

The question has been circulating for a while, especially as Knight continues to stay just outside the main event scene. WrestleVotes made it clear they’ve never heard anything to support that idea.

“I know that’s a big topic about how Triple H feels about LA Knight, but it’s not something I’ve ever heard.”

They didn’t stop there. WrestleVotes went further, revealing that if there were any real issues between Triple H and Knight, it would already be reflected in how often he appears on television — or doesn’t.

“If Triple H didn’t like LA Knight as a person, Knight would not be a regular character going through the entire run that Triple H has been in charge of creative.”

Knight has remained a consistent presence on WWE programming, picking up major matches and staying in major spots, even without a world title run. That kind of positioning doesn’t line up with the idea of backstage heat.

Bottom line — the narrative that Triple H is holding LA Knight back doesn’t seem to hold up based on what’s being said behind the scenes. Knight may still be chasing that next level, but it doesn’t look like personal issues are the reason he hasn’t gotten there yet.
