Kelani Jordan was busy telling everybody why she’s setting a new standard during the WWE NXT episode on September 15, 2026 when somebody nobody was expecting suddenly walked out — La Catalina.

Jordan had the ring to herself and was feeling pretty good about life as NXT Women’s Champion. She said winning the title meant setting a new standard and made it clear she had no interest in being the kind of champion who just poses for pictures with the belt. Jordan pointed to the fact that she defended the championship against Jaida Parker only one week after winning it, saying she already put her money where her mouth is.

Jordan then brought up Wren Sinclair’s post-match attack and took a shot at how things worked out afterward. Sinclair got suspended, while Jordan ended up making her Monday Night RAW debut in Mexico City. She then started asking the big question — who’s next? Jordan quickly dismissed Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair and made it clear she didn’t think anybody was taking her championship anytime soon.

Then the whole segment changed. La Catalina’s music hit, and the Reina de Reinas Champion walked straight into Jordan’s spotlight. Catalina congratulated Jordan before cutting part of her promo in Spanish and flexing her own championship credentials. She made it clear she has big plans for the Reina de Reinas Title and vowed to take women’s wrestling in Mexico to another level.

Before Catalina and Jordan could really settle anything, ZARIA came out and decided both of them needed a reality check. ZARIA said they could talk about standards all they wanted, but claimed she was the most dominant champion in WWE. She also pointed out that neither woman had unified their championships and brushed off Thea Hail’s recent attack as a fluke.

That brought Hail out, and the talking didn’t last much longer. Hail said she could hang with anybody in the ring before all four women started throwing hands. When the dust settled, Catalina and Hail were the ones left standing. Then things got even stranger, because instead of just celebrating the fight, Catalina and Hail started dancing together in the ring.

What started as Kelani Jordan hyping herself up turned into La Catalina unexpectedly crashing NXT, four women fighting and two of them dancing when it was over. Catalina definitely made sure people noticed her arrival.

What did you think about La Catalina suddenly showing up on NXT and getting right in the middle of the women’s title scene? Let us know in the comments.
