The inaugural AEW Redemption pay-per-view took place on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Kyle Fletcher defended the AEW International Championship against Bandido after the two crossed paths in the weeks leading up to the event.
With the title at stake, Fletcher and Bandido delivered the fast-paced style many expected. Kyle Fletcher and Bandido also walked into this match with a ton of respect from the AEW fans. They also took their time before the shots started in this match.
The match spilled to the ringside area for a bit, where Kyle Fletcher nailed a powerbomb on the apron. Fans were hot after that spot as Bandido sold on the outside of the ring, and Fletcher goaded fans on.
The match continued and Bandido was able to get back on track with a suplex. However, Kyle Fletcher took control back and leveled his masked opponent with a hard powerbomb. Eventually, they traded even more moves and ended up laid out on the outside of the ring.
Eventually, the two traded moves inside the ring. Kyle Fletcher was able to barely get his fingers on the ropes to break up the pinfall. Bandido stalked his opponent after that, but Fletcher was able to stay alive with a lariat and a running knee to the face.
In the end, Kyle Fletcher was able to pull down the win to retain the title. Don Callis jumped in the ring immediately to celebrate with his client after a hard-fought victory.
