The August 7 edition of WWE SmackDown was a big night with SummerSlam fallout. During the show, fans marked their schedules for August 21, because that will be a big night too.
Kevin Owens also returned at SummerSlam to claim a #1 contender spot for CM Punk’s Undisputed World Title. Now we know when they will collide.
CM Punk and Kevin Owens opened up SmackDown this week with a nice back-and-forth promo battle, one where Owens roasted Punk. After everything was said and done, they still didn’t announce when their match will be.
Later on during the show, Kevin Owens approached Nick Aldis where he said that he decided where he wants to face CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship. He picked the August 21 episode of SmackDown in Toronto.
This Canadian show will be a huge night for Kevin Owens. He may also be the night that Kevin Owens reclaims a top title in WWE. Only time will tell if CM Punk will win, or if Cody Rhodes gets involved in some form.
