WWE is heading back to Canada this August—and Kevin Owens made sure fans heard it directly from him.

WWE confirmed a three-show run across Canada, with stops in London, Toronto, and Ottawa between August 20 and August 24. But instead of a standard announcement, Owens delivered the news himself in a video—and added some real context about where he’s been. Before getting into the dates, Owens opened up about his absence from the ring over the past year, revealing he underwent neck surgery and hasn’t wrestled during that time.

“Hello, my name is Kevin Owens. You may know me from several wrestling matches I've had in, you know, the last 26 years or so. Not so much in the last year. I haven't wrestled. Then I had neck surgery. It was a whole thing. I have the scar. You see it.”

Owens didn’t sugarcoat how things have been since then, making it clear he’s been out of action and trying to find his footing again. That purpose was announcing WWE’s return to Canada, which kicks off with a live event in London, Ontario on August 20 as part of the Summer Tour.

“Anyway, so since then I really haven't been doing much, you know, a lot of walking around aimlessly. But today I have a purpose.”

“WWE is coming back to Canada in August. Thursday, August 20, London, Ontario at the Canada Life place… that’s a Thursday night for the summer tour live event. Very exciting.”

The following night, WWE rolls into Toronto for a major episode of Friday Night SmackDown at Scotiabank Arena—something Owens made clear always delivers. After a brief gap, the run wraps up with Monday Night Raw in Ottawa on August 24, a venue Owens remembered in his own unique way.

“The next night, Friday, August 21, in Toronto. SmackDown. Friday night SmackDown. That's going to be big. Scotiabank arena. Always a great time in Toronto.”

“Then Monday, August 24th, it's Raw in Ottawa at the Canadian Tire Center… I didn’t even have to look at my notes for that one.”

Owens also tied the announcement to a personal milestone, pointing out that the presale date lands on his birthday—and the anniversary of his first wrestling match.

“There’s a pre sale on Thursday, May 7th at 10am… that’s my birthday… and it also marks the 26th anniversary of my very first wrestling match.”

Tickets for the shows go on sale May 8, with the presale kicking off May 7 through WWE’s official channels. Owens wrapped things up with a message that hit a more emotional tone, making it clear he’s feeling the time away from fans.

“Go buy the tickets, go to the shows. Have a blast. And I really miss you guys. And I mean that 100%.”

With WWE making its return to Canada and Owens finally speaking openly about his situation, this announcement carries a bit more weight than usual. Whether he’s back in the ring by then or not, it’s clear he’s ready to reconnect with fans in a big way.
