Kevin Owens says he’s still waiting for WWE to call him back—and in the meantime, he’s preparing for a completely different career.
Owens made a surprise appearance in Kit Wilson’s new social media series “Is It Toxic?”, filmed at his home. While the segment was played for laughs, Owens admitted he’s dealing with plenty of uncertainty as he continues recovering from neck fusion surgery.
After Wilson said snoring is a red flag, Owens finally snapped and explained why he was so frustrated. Behind the comedy, he admitted his WWE future remains unclear because he hasn’t heard much from the company while he’s sidelined.
“The point is, I’ve asked you to be quiet. You know what I’m trying to do right now? I’m under a lot of stress, okay? No one in the company has been calling me back.”
Owens went on to reveal he’s already thinking about what comes next if wrestling doesn’t work out the way he hopes. As he tried to pick out kitchen tiles, he said that interior design might end up becoming his next profession.
“So I’m trying to prepare for the future because I don’t know what this place holds for me. So I’m trying to figure out these kitchen tiles. I think maybe I have a future as an interior decorator.”
Even while trying to make the best of the situation, Owens admitted the uncertainty has been difficult. He said he was simply trying to concentrate before Wilson’s constant interruptions pushed him over the edge.
“I need to focus. I’ve never done this before. So please, just respect the one thing I ask you: just don’t be loud!”
Owens has been out of action since suffering the neck injury that forced him to miss WrestleMania 41, and earlier reports indicated WWE remained hopeful he could return at some point in 2026 following a medical re-evaluation.
Whether Owens was simply leaning into the comedy or hinting at genuine frustration remains to be seen. Either way, hearing him say that nobody in WWE has been calling him back is bound to get fans talking as they continue waiting for updates on his long-awaited return.
