Kevin Nash and Scott Hall had plenty of wild nights together, but one drunken decision in Japan nearly created a much bigger headache for Hall. Nash says he got so wasted that he blew into Hall’s court-ordered breathalyzer despite being specifically told to keep his hands off it.

Speaking on the Kliq This podcast, Nash recalled traveling in Japan with Hall, a young Finn Bálor, Bryan Danielson and Mark Coleman. Hall had previously gotten into legal trouble and was required to submit a breathalyzer reading at the same time every day.

The group had been drinking heavily before heading back to their hotel to grab their bags and leave for the airport. That’s when Nash spotted Hall’s breathalyzer and decided he wanted to find out just how drunk he actually was.

“So we get back to the hotel, and I said to Scott, ‘Man, I am so f****** wasted.’ And I said, ‘Let me blow in that thing.’

He goes, ‘No, don’t f****** blow in that.’

And I grab it, and I blow in it. So .08 is intoxicated, correct? Florida? I blow a .263.”

Hall was apparently just as stunned by the number as anyone else would be. The bigger problem, though, was that Nash had just submitted his own reading through a device Hall was required to use because of his legal situation.

“He’s like, ‘How are you possibly f****** functioning?’ I said, ‘I don’t know, man.’

So I had to f****** call the probation people and say that I did it.”

When Nash was reminded that he could have gotten Hall into some serious trouble, he didn’t exactly try to defend the decision. Instead, he blamed it on being extremely drunk and admitted his judgment was pretty much gone by that point.

“Oh, f***. I’m three and a half times above the legal limit. I think I’m allowed to f****** have a lapse in judgment. It was one of those times.”

Apparently this wasn’t the only occasion where Hall suddenly found himself having to babysit Nash. Nash remembered another night in Hamburg when Hall spotted a framed photograph of himself wrestling hanging on the wall of a bar and mentioned that he wanted it.

Nash took that request a little too literally. He ripped the frame straight off the wall, smashing the glass and damaging the photograph in the process, which immediately told Hall what kind of night he was about to have.

“So we just put it underneath the table. Scott immediately looks at me and goes, ‘Oh, great. Frankenstein’s out of the castle.’

He goes, ‘Guess my night’s been put on hold.’

In other words, like, now I’ve got to watch this f****** idiot.”

Hall and Nash’s friendship produced more than enough road stories over the years, but accidentally messing with a court-ordered breathalyzer is definitely up there among the crazier ones. Thankfully for Hall, Nash says he owned up to what he did and called the probation authorities himself instead of leaving his friend to explain that .263 reading.
