Kevin Nash isn’t pretending to keep up with pro wrestling right now.
The WWE Hall of Famer was asked on his Kliq This about the current state of wrestling after Bully Ray said he was bored with the product. Nash didn’t dress it up or try to play analyst. He made it clear he’s not even watching.
“I’m not even watching it.”
Sean Oliver joked that Bully Ray and Dave LaGreca might not have much left to complain about if Nash isn’t watching either. Nash then doubled down and said he has stepped away from wrestling for now.
“I’ve taken a break from watching pro wrestling.”
Oliver pointed out that Nash seemed happier lately, and Nash said it’s not that complicated. He’s enjoying summer, working out, and not spending his time locked into every wrestling show.
“No, it’s just I… It’s, man, it’s f**ing summer. It’s… I’m 67 years old. It’s like I, you know…”*
That’s a pretty blunt answer from someone who spent decades inside the business. Nash still gets asked about WWE, AEW, creative decisions, and the state of wrestling all the time, but he doesn’t sound too worried about missing a few shows.
Nash also made it clear during the episode that he’s been backing away from a lot of the noise in general. Wrestling isn’t the only thing he’s tuned out. He talked about enjoying the weather, getting his workouts in, and not letting every headline or debate eat up his day.
What do you think about Kevin Nash saying he’s taken a break from watching pro wrestling? Do you think modern wrestling has become easier to skip, or is Nash just enjoying retirement the right way? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comments section below.
