Kevin Nash on WWE’s creative team sounds pretty fun on paper, but Nash himself thinks Triple H might get sick of him pretty damn quickly. Apparently, Big Sexy’s biggest backstage problem wouldn’t be wrestling knowledge — it would be keeping the jokes under control.

Speaking on the Kliq This podcast, Nash was discussing reports about Shawn Michaels potentially replacing Bruce Prichard on WWE’s creative team when the idea of Nash joining the operation came up. He immediately started joking about getting himself involved.

“Looks like I’m gonna have to get on the team. Get on to Orlando.”

Kevin Nash was much more interested when working from home entered the conversation. Give him a Zoom call and a few hours to talk wrestling, and he figured he could probably make that work.

“If it was Zoom, like four—I could do four hours Zoom every day. All I’d be doing is turning off the financials and talking wrestling.”

There was one problem with that plan: Nash knows you can’t really book wrestlers you barely know. If he was actually going to help shape WWE’s main-roster creative, Nash said he’d need to immerse himself in the product, spend time around the talent and figure out who everyone really is before deciding what to do with them.

“The first thing I would have to do is I would have to completely immerse myself in the product, you know, to know that.

I’d have to be down there. I mean, I’d have to go down. I’d have to sit down, talk to people. You can’t book people that you don’t have a feel for.”

So much for running WWE creative from the couch. Once Nash was reminded they were talking about the main roster and not just hanging around the Performance Center, he admitted Zoom wasn’t going to cut it.

“No, couldn’t happen through Zoom.”

Then Nash got to what might be the funniest obstacle of all: actually working with Triple H. The two go back decades, but Nash thinks his habit of screwing around and trying to make people laugh would eventually start getting on Triple H’s nerves.

“Yeah, but I mean, f***, and I’m kind of a jackoff. I like to laugh, and I think I would irritate Paul. I think I just like to laugh too much. So I just don’t think they have time for my shenanigans.”

Luckily for Triple H, he probably won’t have to find out. After entertaining the idea for a while, Nash finally got to the biggest reason he isn’t about to start showing up for creative meetings.

“Yeah, I don’t want to work. I’m 67 years old.”

Bottom line: Kevin Nash might have plenty of opinions about wrestling, but apparently getting dressed, showing up every week and trying not to annoy Triple H sounds like way too much work at 67.

Would you want Kevin Nash sitting in WWE creative meetings with Triple H, or are his takes better saved for the podcast? Let us know what you think in the comments.
