Kenny Omega’s emotional comments after losing the AEW World Championship at All In had plenty of fans wondering what comes next. As it turns out, the answer may not involve All Out after all.
According to Fightful Select, Omega is not currently planned for AEW All Out as of this week. While plans can always change, the report says there are no creative plans in place for Omega to appear at the pay-per-view.
This comes just days after Omega reflected on his loss to Will Ospreay at Wembley Stadium. Speaking on ShidaTube, Omega admitted the match may have been the hardest of his career and acknowledged that age is beginning to catch up with him.
“It may have been the hardest match of my career. Of course, I’m getting older. So my strength is gradually going away. I’m getting weaker.”
Even after coming up short in front of more than 50,000 fans, Omega said he walked away proud of what he accomplished and made it clear he isn’t thinking about calling it a career.
“I lost in front of about 50,000 people, but I really gave everything I had. I gave it everything and did my absolute best.”
“I couldn’t be more proud of my performance at Wembley. I couldn’t be more proud of our champion, Will Ospreay. But it’s not the end. Please support me next time, too!”
For now, though, Omega’s next appearance remains a mystery. Fightful’s report only reflects the current creative plans, so things could always change before All Out. As it stands, however, it doesn’t look like fans should expect to see “The Best Bout Machine” on the card this weekend.
