Kendal Grey has issued a brief response following her NXT Women’s Championship loss at NXT Heatwave.
Taking to Twitter the next day, Grey addressed the setback with a short message. “Back to the drawing board.”
Grey lost the championship to Kelani Jordan after a physical match in which she survived a split-legged moonsault and nearly retained with multiple ankle locks and Shades of Grey. The finish came after Jordan sent Grey headfirst into an exposed turnbuckle. Jordan immediately followed with a moonsault to secure the three-count and become the new NXT Women’s Champion.
Although Jordan left Heatwave with the title, the exposed turnbuckle played a decisive role in ending Grey’s reign. Grey’s reaction suggests she is already focused on regrouping after the controversial loss.
