Kelani Jordan has made it pretty clear who she believes is carrying WWE NXT right now — and it’s the women. The NXT Superstar isn’t taking anything away from the men’s division, but as far as she’s concerned, the women have taken over the Tuesday night show.

During an appearance on Going Ringside, Jordan was asked about the current state of WWE NXT, especially with talent constantly moving between the developmental brand and the main roster. And when it came to describing what NXT has become, Jordan didn’t hesitate to put the women’s division front and center.

“Well, NXT is still popping. I always like to say NXT is a women’s wrestling show. Again, I could be biased, but the women’s wrestlers, we’re literally dominating the scene, but also our men’s division is awesome.”

That’s a pretty strong statement from Jordan, who clearly believes the women have established themselves as one of the biggest reasons to watch NXT. And while she admitted she might be biased, she wasn’t backing down from the idea that the women’s division has become a defining part of the brand.

Jordan wasn’t completely ignoring the men, though. She pointed to Grayson Waller’s return to NXT and his championship victory while explaining that the roster has plenty of talent across both divisions.

“We got Grayson Waller to come back. Of course, he took the title, but I just believe we have a lot of different style athletes.”

She also explained that NXT’s variety of wrestling styles makes the show stand out, with different performers bringing something unique to the ring.

“We have people who are high flyers, people who are more power based, people who are more submission or mat wrestlers.”

Jordan knows a thing or two about NXT’s women’s division herself. As the inaugural NXT Women’s North American Champion and a former TNA Knockouts Champion, she’s been part of the competition that has helped establish the women’s roster as a major attraction.

And she’s certainly not shy about giving the women their credit. While WWE continues bringing established names back to NXT and developing new talent, Jordan believes the women’s division is already setting the standard for what fans see every Tuesday night.

Whether everyone agrees with her is another question, but Jordan isn’t leaving much room for confusion about where she stands. As far as she’s concerned, NXT isn’t just a place where women’s wrestling gets an opportunity — it’s a show where the women are dominating.

Do you agree with Kelani Jordan that WWE NXT is a women’s wrestling show, or do you think the men’s division still deserves equal billing? Let us know your thoughts and feedback in the comments below.
