Katie Forbes is already preparing for her return to professional wrestling, but she is putting motherhood first before getting back on the road.
During One of a Kind with RVD, Forbes was directly asked whether she planned to return to wrestling. The mother of twins confirmed that she is training and has set a goal of accepting more bookings once her children turn one year old.
Forbes explained that she needs to reach a point where her husband, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam, can watch their daughters overnight. That would allow her to travel for wrestling appearances without bringing the children along.
“My goal is when the kids are a year old and Rob is able to watch them by himself overnight. Then I can take bookings and leave the kids home with him. But I’m training for it.”
Forbes has not been completely inactive during her time away. She revealed that she has already worked matches in Las Vegas, but she has kept those appearances close to home so she can return to her children the same night.
“I’ve had matches, but I’ve only had matches here in Vegas because that way I can come home to the kids. I just haven’t done overnight away from them yet.”
The twins were approaching seven months old at the time of the conversation, meaning Forbes’ planned return could take place within the next several months. She said that timeline is already motivating her during every workout.
“My goal is one year. That inspires me every day in the gym. I’m excited.”
The conversation then turned toward where Forbes could wrestle once she begins traveling again. She did not hesitate to name TNA as a promotion she is considering.
“I’m thinking TNA.”
That would place Forbes in the same company where Candice Michelle currently works as an agent. Forbes has history with TNA as well, previously appearing alongside RVD during his run with the promotion.
Nothing has been officially announced, but Forbes has now made her timeline and preferred destination clear. Once her twins reach their first birthday, the door could be open for her to take more bookings—and TNA appears to be firmly on her radar.
Would Katie Forbes be a good fit for TNA’s current Knockouts division, and who should she face in her return? Share your feedback in the comments.
