WWE Hall of Famer Kane spent Saturday watching football with President Donald Trump. Glenn Jacobs, the man behind the mask, joined Trump at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville as the Tennessee Volunteers faced the Texas Longhorns.
Jacobs shared a photo from the game and made it clear he was enjoying the company. The former Knox County mayor posted:
“Saturdays in Neyland are better when you get to watch the Vols with Donald J. Trump!”
Trump’s appearance had been announced ahead of kickoff, and the University of Tennessee advised fans to expect increased security around Neyland Stadium. U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty was also in Knoxville for the matchup.
Jacobs recently finished his eight-year run as Knox County mayor, a role he took on after becoming one of WWE’s most recognizable stars as Kane. Ringside News covered the end of his time as mayor earlier this month.
Jacobs and Trump have crossed paths in the political world before, and the two have publicly expressed support for one another. Ringside News previously covered Trump praising Kane during a campaign speech.
