Kairi Sane still hasn’t revealed where she’ll wrestle next, but one thing is becoming pretty clear—she’s getting ready to step back into the ring.
The former WWE star took to Instagram to share a new training video, giving fans a look at how she’s preparing for her in-ring return while free agency continues. The video shows Kairi putting in work both inside and outside the ring. She can be seen doing boxing drills, conditioning and other gym training before moving into the ring to work on her timing with jumps, dropkicks, flat-back bumps and several other wrestling drills.
It’s the latest sign that Kairi is getting closer to making her return, even though she still hasn’t announced which promotion she’ll be joining. That decision remains one of the biggest stories in women’s wrestling. Kairi previously revealed that she’s received more offers than she can count from promotions in Japan and around the world, but said she still hasn’t made up her mind.
“Right after the release, my head was an absolute jumble, so I tried not to think about it for a bit. But now, I’m extremely grateful… I’ve received offers from so many promotions around the world that I can’t even count them on both hands—both inside Japan and internationally. I haven’t made a final decision yet. I’m prepared to complete a new story from here, all the way to the end.”
AEW has remained one of the promotions linked to Kairi since she became a free agent. Fightful Select previously reported that the two sides have held talks, but no deal has been completed, with visa issues also preventing any possibility of an appearance at All Out.
For now, though, Kairi’s latest update isn’t about contracts or negotiations. It’s about getting ready. Based on her newest training footage, she’s putting in the work so she’ll be ready whenever—and wherever—she decides to make her return.
