Kairi Sane is officially back around the wrestling world, and she picked a pretty fitting place to resurface. The Pirate Princess has hit the high seas, showing up aboard Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea while everyone continues wondering where the hell she’s going next.
Sane took to Twitter and dropped a photo of herself aboard the cruise alongside Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed. It marks her first major wrestling-related appearance since leaving WWE earlier this year.
Of course, her showing up around Jericho is going to get people talking because the AEW rumors haven’t exactly gone away. Tony Khan was asked about Sane during the WrestleDream media scrum on October 18 and didn’t exactly hide the fact that she had his attention.
“She’s a fantastic wrestler. I can’t speak to that at this time, but I am very aware and excited to see that she’s a free agent. And that’s very, very interesting. And I’m very intrigued by the possibility of that.”
That still wasn’t confirmation of anything, and subsequent reporting indicated Sane had not signed with AEW. She has also kept everyone guessing herself, recently saying that “various things are already in motion” regarding her future and asking fans to wait a little longer.
Bottom line: Kairi hanging out on Jericho’s boat doesn’t suddenly mean Tony Khan has her under contract. But with AEW interested, Sane teasing that things are happening behind the scenes and now the Pirate Princess literally sailing around on Jericho’s wrestling cruise, she certainly knows how to keep everyone guessing.
