John Cena knows a thing or two about dropping bars, and he made it clear that Harry Mack passed the test after a wild New York freestyle caught Tracy Morgan’s attention.
Mack posted a clip of himself rapping on the streets of Manhattan when Morgan pulled up beside him in a vehicle. Instead of freezing when the celebrity interruption happened, Mack worked Morgan, his jewelry and the car into the freestyle without missing a beat. Mack immediately acknowledged Morgan’s ride and the jewelry on his wrist while continuing to rhyme.
“Damn, that’s a fly whip with the matte finish. Y’all know that I’m the dopest in the zone, flowing with the poem.”
He then turned his attention to Morgan’s diamonds before approaching the vehicle and shaking his hand.
“Damn, how do I get diamonds like that? Yeah, seen them on the bracelet. There’s no one who could erase this.”
“Can I shake your hand quick? My man, it’s an honor, for real.”
Morgan gave Mack his approval and threw up a peace sign as the freestyle continued. Mack closed the moment by admitting that the whole encounter felt like something that could only happen in New York City.
“That’s some crazy New York shit. Only in Manhattan. Who’d have thought that shit could happen?”
The viral clip eventually reached John Cena, who spent years bringing his Doctor of Thuganomics character to WWE television. Cena praised Mack’s performance with a perfect wrestling-themed response.
“Respect. I think Harry was the standout student in my language composition class at Thuganomics U.”
Cena’s reaction gave the clip another major stamp of approval. Mack already impressed Tracy Morgan face-to-face, but earning praise from WWE’s original Doctor of Thuganomics took the freestyle to another level.
