Joe Hendry already has somebody picked out if Hollywood ever decides his life needs the big-screen treatment. The WWE star says Jake Gyllenhaal would have to play him in a Joe Hendry biopic, and apparently that choice isn’t coming completely out of nowhere.

During an appearance on TMZ’s Inside the Ring, Hendry was asked which actor he would choose to portray him if a movie about his life ever happened. He didn’t need much time to think about it.

“It would have to be Jake Gyllenhaal because I would say when people come up to me, 98 out of 100 times they go, ‘Oh, are you Joe Hendrix?’ But every, you know, 2% or so, they go, ‘You really look like—you really look like someone.’ I thought they were going to go, ‘That wrestler from TV.’ They go, ‘No, you look like Jake Gyllenhaal.’ So, I get that a couple of times.”

The hosts could see the resemblance, and Hendry certainly wasn’t offended by getting compared to the Hollywood star.

“Hey, I can think of a lot worse people to be compared to. I’ll take that.”

Hendry has plenty going on before anybody starts casting his biopic. His music has become an even bigger part of his WWE run, with Ringside News previously covering his ridiculous “Give Joe Hendry Every Single Belt” music video ahead of the release of his Beyond Belief album.

His WWE music has also been tied directly into his television storylines. Hendry previously revealed how plans for his RAW debut changed before the idea eventually turned into his “Fire Logan Paul” song, giving him another way to mix wrestling with the entertainment side of his character.

There’s no Joe Hendry movie on the books right now, but he’s already handled one of Hollywood’s biggest headaches by casting the lead himself. If that call ever comes, Jake Gyllenhaal apparently has first dibs — assuming he’s ready to bleach the hair and start believing.

Would Jake Gyllenhaal be the right choice to play Joe Hendry in a movie, or is there another actor you think would fit the role better? Let us know what you think in the comments.
