Jimmy Wang Yang thought his relationship with Krissy Vaine was getting serious enough for him to pack up his life and move to Florida. That plan is now dead, because Yang says the two have officially broken up — and he’s not pretending it doesn’t hurt.
Yang took to Instagram to address the split, apologizing for the breakup drama before admitting he genuinely thought Vaine could have been the person he settled down with.
“Sorry for all of the break up BS. Kristin/Krissy is a beautiful women and great mom. I thought she could have been that ONE for me because of where I was in life.”
Yang wasn’t treating the relationship casually either. He said he was flying to Florida every other weekend to be with Vaine and had already been planning to move there in November.
“I put 100% in our relationship. Flew down to Florida every other weekend to take care of my princess. My plan was to move there in November if she could put 100% into me and never felt that she could that.”
That move obviously isn’t happening now. Yang didn’t use the breakup post to trash Vaine, though. Instead, he admitted the situation sucks while making it clear that he still loves her and wants the best for her.
“S*** happens, s*** sucks. I do love her and I wish nothing but the best for her.”
Yang and Vaine had not exactly been hiding their relationship. They had talked publicly about making long distance work and appeared together at Glory Days: GrappleCon 4 in Florida, including events connected to Yang’s Yun’s Time book.
The biggest takeaway from Yang’s post is just how far he thought this relationship was going. Flying back and forth was one thing, but planning an actual move to Florida showed he was ready to make a major change for Vaine. Instead, the relationship ended before that could happen.
Yang may still have feelings for Vaine, but the Florida move is off and the relationship he thought could become permanent is now over.
