Jim Ross just shared some of the best health news he’s had in a long time.
During a recent episode of Grilling JR, Ross opened the show by talking about a major physical he had earlier in the week. After dealing with multiple health battles over the years, he said the results came back stronger than anything he’s seen in a long time. Ross explained that doctors did flag some concern about his kidneys, which he believes is tied to medication he’s been taking. Outside of that, he said the rest of his numbers came back at levels he hasn’t seen in years.
“I’m good. Conrad, I was just telling you before we start recording that, when was my major physical? Monday, yeah. And all the results came back. Concern on my kidneys, she thinks that’s because of the meds have been taken, but everything else was, believe it or not, all my vitals, my blood pressure, my blood sugar, all that shit that old guys like me and I’ve got to keep up with was excellent. It’s the best numbers on my physical that I’ve gotten in years, quite frankly, so I’m very blessed, very happy, and good results today. It’s always good to get good results on your health. Conrad, God, dang.”
Ross sounded relieved while sharing the update, especially knowing how closely he has had to monitor his health in recent years. Hearing that his blood pressure, blood sugar, and other key numbers came back strong clearly meant a lot to him.
Feeling better physically has also given him confidence about staying active with AEW. Ross confirmed he plans to attend Double or Nothing in Queens next month and is open to helping however he’s needed.
“I’m going to be there, Conrad. I’m going to be there. We’ll do some work. Don’t know exactly what yet, but whatever Tony Khan says, I’ll run the play. I’m looking forward to calling some matches again. And he’s so good to me in that respect.”
For fans who’ve followed Ross through decades in wrestling, hearing him say this was the best set of results he’s had in years stands out as a major step forward. After everything he’s dealt with medically, this kind of update signals real progress.
