Jim Cornette Accuses Donald Trump of Trying to Bribe Voters Ahead of Midterm Elections

Jim Cornette thinks Donald Trump and his allies are starting to sweat with the midterm elections right around the corner. And in typical Cornette fashion, he didn’t exactly choose the polite way of explaining why.

Speaking on his podcast with Brian Last, Cornette argued that Trump’s diehard supporters probably aren’t going anywhere. But he believes independent voters are getting fed up, and that even some Republicans are starting to put some distance between themselves and the president.

“But the people in between, which as we’ve seen, a few percentage points can make a world of difference. Obviously, the Democrats are sick of this cancerous growth. But the people in between, the independents, are just fed up because everything has gone wrong.

The Hispanics obviously have turned against him. I don’t know why they were for him to begin with, but bless them, they see what they got. Some of the Republican politicians that don’t need to be reelected have started telling the truth, and the ones that do have tried to distance themselves from him because as he sinks, he may claw at them and drag them down with him.”

Then Cornette really got going. He accused Trump of becoming increasingly desperate as the election gets closer and claimed the president is now dangling financial promises and government action in front of voters depending on whether Republicans win.

“But the point is, the lower that they go in these polls and the more desperate they get, and the more they realize that the people that can be reached have finally seen through this and are fed up with it and can’t afford it and are tired of it and don’t believe it anymore, they are lying more.

He’s trying to bribe people now. Well, you’ll get $5,000 if the Republicans win, but if Democrats win, you won’t. Or he told the service people at Camp Lejeune, ‘Just vote for us and I’ll let them settle the lawsuit against the government because we poisoned you.’

Well, you’re the f****** president. Do it anyway, d***.”

Cornette wasn’t buying any of it. He argued that Trump’s message has increasingly become about warning people what they supposedly won’t get if Democrats win, and he thinks voters are finally starting to tune it out.

“But it’s all about what you won’t get if the Democrats win, which is what you ain’t going to get anyway. Wait, because he lies every time he opens his mouth.

But now the worm may be starting to turn a little bit, that it’s so obviously desperate and it’s gone on too long. And as Butch Reed would have said, he’s been selling the wolf tickets so long that people have finally started calling bull***t, and they can’t believe it anymore.”

But Cornette’s rant didn’t end with Trump’s campaign messaging. He then went straight after the election process itself, accusing Trump and Republicans of trying to stack things in their favor through redistricting, restrictions surrounding voting and repeated claims about noncitizens casting ballots.

“But it can’t be a close election because the criminals are in charge of the keys to the jail. He has appointed people in prominent positions, even regionally, that are in this cult with all the rest of them that have tried to fuck with the elections, even from a national to a local level.

The gerrymandering, redistricting to make sure the Republicans have the advantage so they won’t lose the district. We’ll just include those other three counties over there. Whatever the f***. F****** with the mail-in voting, the voter laws that have been passed restricting, or he spread all the doubt about this s*** about illegals voting.”

Jim Cornette then went even further, claiming Republicans know they’re in trouble with the broader electorate and accusing them of essentially trying to pick the referees before the game starts.

“And they’ve got all these hundreds of thousands of names, and every time they submit names to the state, the states say, ‘What the f*** is this? This is gibberish.’

They know that the Republicans are never going to win a popular vote in the United States again after this goddamn fiasco of a criminal administration. But they’re still hiring the referees for the contest.”

This is hardly Cornette’s first Trump rant lately. Just days earlier, he reacted to footage involving law enforcement and civilians by accusing the administration of unleashing “domestic terrorist pigs” before telling people angry about what they were seeing to take that frustration to the ballot box on November 3.

Bottom line: Cornette definitely isn’t keeping his politics to himself as Election Day gets closer. Whether people agree with him or think he’s completely off the rails, he’s clearly got a lot to get off his chest before voters head to the polls.
