Jeff Jarrett helped build TNA, so of course, his name was going to come up once sale rumors started flying again.

While speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Jarrett was asked about reports that TNA could be for sale again and whether he’d have any interest in buying the company he helped build. Jarrett made it clear he has not reached out about anything, but he also admitted he still loves a good business opportunity.

“Look, I did Ric Flair’s Last Match, and that came out of nowhere. Super successful. From there, I signed with AEW.”

Jarrett then pointed to his current AEW run and made it clear he isn’t sitting around unhappy or looking for an escape route. He said his time in AEW has given him major moments, and he appreciates where he is right now.

“The success I’ve had at AEW, I do not take that lightly. Wembley, Arthur Ashe Stadium with Adam Page — so many highlights at AEW. I’m very grateful for everything.”

That doesn’t mean the businessman side of Jarrett is gone. He said if the right opportunity ever came along, he would at least understand what that means, but he didn’t pretend there is anything actually happening.

“But, you know… I love opportunities, and I think that if the opportunity presented itself right… but you know, I have no idea.”

Jarrett also reminded people that business is basically in his blood. At this point in his career, he’s still active in AEW, still enjoying what he does, and not actively trying to buy his old company back. Then he gave the clearest answer of all.

“I’m very happy at this stage of my career. I’m the oldest guy actively on the roster. I love what I do, but… you know, I’m a businessman, and it comes from three generations. No, I haven’t inquired. No. I’m happy.”

That answer lands at an interesting time, because TNA sale talk has been picking up again. There have been reports about Anthem possibly being open to offers, while other reports claimed WWE’s working agreement with TNA includes a set-price purchase option.

There’s also been talk that WWE might not be eager to buy TNA because of Anthem’s debt and a TV deal WWE wouldn’t fully control. So while fans keep fantasy-booking who could end up owning the company, Jarrett is making one thing clear: he hasn’t made a move.

Still, he didn’t exactly say “never.” He just said he’s happy, he hasn’t asked, and if the right opportunity ever presents itself, he’s the kind of guy who understands opportunity when he sees it.

Do you think Jeff Jarrett should try to buy TNA again if it becomes available? Let us know in the comments below.
