Missy Hyatt apparently had one hell of a way of messing with Jasmin St. Claire, because St. Claire claims the wrestling legend once handed her phone number straight to Gene Simmons. What happened next, according to St. Claire, was a night of unwanted calls that didn’t stop until around 5:00 in the morning — and she made damn sure Hyatt eventually paid for it.

St. Claire unloaded the story during an appearance on the What Do You Call It podcast while talking about her longtime friendship with Hyatt. The two go back years, they’ve pissed each other off plenty of times, and St. Claire made it sound like screwing with each other was practically part of the friendship. She summed Hyatt up with two words.

“It’s Missy. Like, if there’s any explanation, it’s just two words. It’s Missy.”

St. Claire then revealed one of the nastier pranks she pulled on Hyatt. She told Missy she had been booked for a wrestling show in Fort Lauderdale and needed somebody to work with, prompting Hyatt to make the drive down from Tampa. There was just one problem — St. Claire wasn’t actually waiting there with a booking for her. She admitted Hyatt was furious, but she also said there was a reason she decided Missy deserved it.

“Well, she was pissed off. I mean, she gave Gene Simmons my number like a few weeks before that and he was harassing me on my phone.”

According to St. Claire, she had previously encountered the KISS frontman at a signing. Hyatt had apparently tipped Simmons off that St. Claire was there, and St. Claire had him autograph some KISS memorabilia. As St. Claire tells it, that should have been the end of the interaction. It wasn’t.

“He showed up at one, at a signing I was at. Missy told him I was there. I had him sign some KISS things, some albums and stuff like that. That’s all.”

St. Claire claims her phone then started getting hammered and didn’t stop until the sun was practically coming up. That left St. Claire absolutely furious with Hyatt. She joked about how angry she was before explaining that she settled for revenge in the form of one miserable drive to South Florida.

“And then I was getting harassed till like 5:00 a.m. the next day on my phone.”

“I was ready to murder Missy when I saw her at the next show. I was ready to kill her. But I didn’t do that, of course. I just played a joke on her. I just have her drive like eight hours.”

Hyatt apparently still thinks she can get St. Claire back for the fake booking. St. Claire isn’t worried, because she insists Missy conveniently forgets that she started the entire war by giving Simmons the phone number in the first place. The wildest part is that St. Claire says she actually crossed paths with Simmons again decades later. She ran into him at an airport just a few months before the interview and claims he remembered the whole situation.

“Now, I ran into Gene a few months ago at the airport. I said, ‘Hi.’ He remember the whole thing. And then, yeah, we took a photo and stuff like that.”

St. Claire described Simmons’ calls as harassment during the interview, and Simmons did not provide his side of the story on the podcast. What St. Claire made crystal clear is that she blamed Hyatt for putting her number into Simmons’ hands and considered the fake Fort Lauderdale booking payback.

Hyatt is still finding incredible ways to produce stories all these years later. Ringside News recently covered how Missy Hyatt put one of her breast implants up for auction, which suddenly makes St. Claire’s “It’s Missy” explanation feel pretty damn accurate.

Giving Gene Simmons your friend’s phone number, triggering a 5:00 a.m. nightmare and then getting tricked into an hours-long drive for revenge is a friendship dynamic most people probably couldn’t survive. Somehow, St. Claire and Hyatt did — and they’re still telling stories about the insanity decades later.
