Braun Strowman said he could take his shirt off and prove he looks better than major wrestling rosters, and Jasmin St. Claire wasted no time daring him to back it up.
Strowman recently appeared on Jonathan Coachman’s Off The Ropes podcast, where he made it clear that he still believes he can go inside the ring. He pointed to the recent AAA match between Chad Gable and Ludwig Kaiser as something that woke that fire back up for him. Strowman said the match reminded him why he loves the business and made him feel like he still has plenty left.
“You want to honestly know what happened recently. That Triple A match between Gable and Ludwig, that match made me feel. It made me remember why I love professional wrestling. And it made me go, I can go.”
Then Strowman took things a step further. He said there is no doubt in his mind that he can still perform, and he was ready to take his shirt off right then to prove he looks better than anyone on a major wrestling roster.
“There’s no doubt in my mind I can go. I take my shirt off right now and I’ll show you I look better than anybody on that damn roster, any three letter brand roster.”
That comment got some attention after Ringside News shared a graphic with Strowman’s quote. Jasmin St. Claire then jumped in with a simple challenge for the former WWE Superstar.
“Do it & post a selfie.”
That one-line response put the ball right back in Strowman’s court. He made the claim, and now St. Claire is telling him to prove it publicly. Strowman also admitted that he has been dealing with nerve injuries and other physical issues, but said the real issue is that he misses being in the ring and around the locker room.
“I’ve been focusing on these nerve injuries, all this other stuff. The reality of it is I miss being in the ring. I miss being in the locker room. I don’t miss the rest of the that comes along with it.”
Strowman has never lacked confidence, and his latest comments made it clear that he still sees himself as someone who can walk into any major company and stand out. Jasmin St. Claire’s dare now adds a funny twist to the whole thing, because fans may be waiting to see if Braun actually responds with the selfie. For now, Strowman said he looks better than the major rosters, and Jasmin St. Claire wants him to show the proof.
