Jamie Hayter being pulled from AEW action raised concerns — but she’s already pushing back on how serious it really is.

After AEW confirmed on Dynamite that Hayter wasn’t medically cleared following her hard-hitting match with Thekla at AEW Dynasty — forcing changes to the Collision card — it looked like her absence could stretch out. Now, there’s a very different update.

Hayter took to Twitter on April 24, 2026 and downplayed the situation, suggesting the injury isn’t serious and that her return could come much sooner than expected.

“I’ll be alright by next week or so, no big deal 😛”

That’s a major shift from the tone on Dynamite, where AEW officials confirmed she wasn’t cleared and had to be pulled from competition, leading to Persephone stepping in to team with Alex Windsor against Thekla and Skye Blue.

At the time, there were no details on the injury or how long Hayter could be sidelined — making her status one of the bigger question marks coming out of the show. Now, based on her own words, it doesn’t sound like AEW will need to keep her out for long.

Of course, that still depends on medical clearance — but Hayter’s update makes it clear this could be more of a short-term setback than a long-term issue. With AEW already adjusting plans once, the focus now shifts to whether Hayter returns as quickly as she expects — and if her feud with Thekla picks right back up.

Do you think AEW should still take it slow with Jamie Hayter, or bring her back as soon as she’s cleared like she’s suggesting? Let us know your thoughts.
