Jaida Parker Addresses Potential WWE Main Roster Call-Up

Jaida Parker hasn’t gotten the WWE main roster call yet, but she doesn’t sound worried about whether it’s coming. After watching Lola Vice make that jump, Parker believes it’s now “only a matter of time” before WWE comes looking for her too.

Parker spoke about her main roster future on Busted Open After Dark following the September 8 episode of NXT, where she came up short against Kelani Jordan for the NXT Women’s Championship. Bully Ray brought up Vice’s move to the main roster and asked whether seeing someone she knows get that opportunity pushes her to work even harder for her own.

For Parker, Vice getting the call actually gave her another reason to believe she’s getting close. The two have already been in the ring together, and Parker knows exactly how well she stacked up when they went toe-to-toe.

“1000%. 1000%. Because I feel as if, if I’m in the ring with you, me and Lola have had banger matches and I know if I can go toe to toe with you, it’s only a matter of time before I get the call. I just put it in God’s hands. It’s okay. All I can do is get better.”

There’s no bitterness attached to watching Vice get there first either. Parker wants that same opportunity, but she doesn’t think wanting something for herself means she can’t celebrate when somebody else gets it.

“And it’s okay to clap for your friends and clap for your peers, even if they get something that you want. So I always have to do that. I’m like, it’s cool. It is cool ’cause my time is coming ’cause I’m undeniable. You know?”

Vice now has exactly the opportunity Parker is waiting for. WWE announced on the September 7 episode of RAW that she will make her main roster in-ring debut next week in Mexico City, facing Kelani Jordan and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez in a triple threat Money in the Bank qualifying match.

Now Parker is watching someone she’s already had “banger matches” with take that next step. She may have left NXT without the Women’s Championship on September 8, but she clearly isn’t treating that loss as some verdict on where she belongs.

There’s no word that WWE actually has a call-up planned for Parker yet. She’s simply looking at the people moving ahead of her, looking at what she’s already done against them, and coming to one conclusion: keep getting better, because eventually that phone is going to ring.
