WrestleMania 42 took over Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, and few matches were able to please fans of violence like the unsanctioned encounter between McIntyre and Fatu.

Drew McIntyre vs Jacob Fatu went down at the show of shows this year, and fans had quite a brutal showcase in store for them. McIntyre and Fatu’s war has stretched on for a while now.

This match got started quickly and they brawled a bit before Drew took control. He drove Jacob Fatu’s head into the steel ring. Then they returned to the ring, and Drew hit a dive on the other side to the outside after Fatu rolled out. After that, Drew took a chair to the head and a moonsault for a near fall.

Fans were on fire for this match as they watched Drew McIntyre pick Jacob Fatu apart. Drew hit him in the head with a wrench, and then he set up two chairs facing each other before he sent Fatu through them with a powerbomb. The match continued, and Fatu eventually took control to apply some abuse. Fatu got a toolbox, but then he ate a Claymore Kick for a near fall.

As Jacob Fatu took control of the match, he placed Drew McIntyre on a table and climbed up top. Then Drew popped up and whacked him with a chair before he sent Fatu through a table that was previously set up at ringside. Once Fatu returned to the ring, he hit McIntyre with the toolbox, nailed a moonsault through the table, and won the match.

Drew McIntyre was walking into WrestleMania as Undisputed Heavyweight Champion. Then Cody Rhodes swooped in, with the help of Nick Aldis, to get a championship match and capture the WrestleMania main event against Roman Reigns instead. After that, McIntyre and Fatu started their program, which culminated at the showcase of the immortals.
