Andrade El Idolo just can’t seem to stay away from the ladies at ringside, and his latest AEW Dynamite selfie has fans talking again. But here’s the interesting part—the woman he stopped to take a picture with during the October 14 show wasn’t just another fan. She’s actually a wrestler with some WWE experience under her belt.
During the October 14 edition of AEW Dynamite, Andrade teamed up with Will Ospreay against Tommaso Ciampa and Samoa Joe. But apparently, Andrade had other things on his mind because he once again wandered over to ringside to take a selfie with a woman sitting in the crowd. Ospreay wasn’t having any of it, though. He quickly scolded Andrade and told him to focus on their match instead of getting distracted, making the whole interaction even funnier.
Now, the mystery woman has been identified as independent wrestler Kelly Madan, and she’s actually been around the wrestling business for a while. Madan has previously appeared on WWE television and worked for several promotions, including Outlaw Wrestling, ACW, NWA Powerrr, NEW and Warrior Pro Wrestling.
This isn’t even the first time Andrade has pulled something like this recently. During his match against Michael Oku at AEW Grand Slam France, he approached a woman sitting in the crowd, got a kiss on the cheek and snapped a selfie with her before getting back to business.
That woman was later identified as bad.oce, an Instagram personality who’s well known in the French wrestling community. Unlike Madan, she isn’t an active wrestler, although she’s frequently spotted at independent wrestling events and alongside names such as TNA’s Ricky Sosa.
Andrade continues to turn these little ringside interactions into something fans are starting to expect whenever he’s on television. The funny part is that Ospreay clearly wasn’t interested in letting his partner waste time taking selfies in the middle of their match. At this rate, Andrade might have to start worrying less about his opponents and more about whether his own tag team partners will let him finish his photos.
